Honestly, Gonzalez doesn't come off too good in this interview. His view of picking up some mediocre low level FAs for CB was WAY off the mark.
He also didn't mention that if you watch Wade at Denver, he regularly brought in no-name LBs for his D, but had strong Secondaries and Dlines.
Several of us predicted the Rams would go after Talib, which they did just hours after this interview. It just made too much sense.
Nobody saw the Sam Shields thing coming either. Not that we should; but if you're going to be the home town sports journalist, shouldn't you have better insight than the fans?
Gonzalez has not impressed me at all as the Rams ESPN writer. Must be bargain basement time at ESPN.
