This echoes a statement Demoff made about being risk takers

March 09, 2018 02:10AM
In his participation at the conference on Analytics, Demoff made a most telling comment.
He said that one of the reasons they chose McVay is because they wanted an HC that was a risk-taker to be paired with a risk taking GM and FO.

We've all heard Snead mention his bent towards "swinging for the fences". Of course, the problem with that is that home run artists tend to strike out more than other players. But, they're OK with that; that don't lose sleep over it.

So, like it or not fellow fans, the Rams have pronounced themselves as being willing to take risks to be good.
And clearly theses are not mere words with what we have seen happening, even in the signing of the youngest HC in the modern history of the NFL.
And now in the acquisition of 2 of the best cover/pressure corners in the NFL who also have reputations as being problem children.

The Rams are betting that the So Cal atmosphere, Cool Hand Wade, hip and positive McVay, and a strong locker room will be able to assimilate and tame these two All-Pro CBs.

I like it. It makes the Rams fun again.
