I can't imagine a team trading for TA before March 16. TA is due a roster bonus of $5M on that date and if someone trades for him before that date then that team is on the hook for that $5M payment.
And I can't imaging the Rams cutting TA any time soon. That $5M roster bonus is guaranteed so it won't cost the Rams a dime more to cut him in August that it would cost them to cut him today.
What am I missing?
You may be missing the fact that it was reported a couple weeks ago that the Rams planned to release him before that date if they couldn't work a trade. Not sure how reliable that was but just fyi
