Rams just didn't want to throw Quinn in the deal when they may get great value elsewhere such as a player or a 3rd rounder, etc.
either way, I see that he is gone as there were mentions of him in a trad package and his outrageous salary
Your guess is as good as any I suppose but the fact that he was mentioned in trade talks means little since it appears that KC is the one who brought him up.
If it's the Rams dangling him, I would say you are right. But when another team covets a player, it only means that player has value; it doesn't mean that the team is willing to move that player.
