Nice post, Ramdude. I certainly know the Patriots cheat, a lot, over decades, in many ways, and it has helped them a ton.
Personally, I am less convinced that refs have been “instructed” to favor the Pats. I think this would be much much harder to coverup and would be too risky to attempt.
I believe that the Pats are exceptionally good at bending the game rules and also coaching their players how to bend the rules without getting caught.
I just don’t believe the NFL actively pressures its refs to favor the Pats. Maybe, but I doubt it. All it would take is one ref to blow the whistle and blow up the league.
But videotaping practices, stealing signals, stealing playbooks, deflating balls, jamming headsets..yes, I believe the Pats try very hard to cheat and have no qualms about doing so.
Thank you Sir. You are most likely right about the "instructed" part. Good point. It would be too easy for one guy to blow the whistle on them but it sure seems that way some times. lol
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
