Lets begin by doing a little exercise that eliminates players that for sure will be gone. This is where I would love Flipper and Alyo's input.
As far as players for sure gone by 23:
QB:
Rosen
Darnold
Allen
Mayfield
RB:
Barkley
WR:
Ridley
OG:
Nelson
DE:
Chubb
LB:
Smith
DB:
Fitzpatrick
James
So by my count that is 11 players for 22 spots. I also have to think 1 or possibly 2 OTs will rise into the top 22. My guess McGlinchy and Connor Williams. And at a minimum 2 CBs. Again Josh Jackson and Denzel Ward would my 2 best bets. Now we are up to 15. Need 7 more. Maybe a WR like Sutton. Marcus Davenport as a 4-3 DE, both DTs could be gone in Vea and Payne. Maybe a DE/edge like Hubbard. Armstrong or Key at edge. A 3rd CB is possible.
The other thing is where are the Rams after FA? If Quinn and Barwin are still there, ignore rush edge early. Is TruJo gone? Better look at cover corners. Does McSnead like Brown and Havs? People seem to forget he switched them around in the preseason then switched them back realizing it was even worse with Brown outside... Do the Rams need an ILB? Do they have a true DT/NT yet?
All that said, guys I would look at if I were you right now?
CBs:
Denzel Ward (1st round)
Carlton Davis (1st or 2nd)
Josh Jackson (1st)
Isaiah Oliver (1st to 2nd)
Donte Jackson (1st to 2nd)
Jaire Alexander (1st to 3rd)
Mike Hughes 91st to 3rd)
Tarvarus McFadden (2nd to 3rd)
Kameron Kelly (2nd to 3rd)
Anthony Averett (1st to 2nd)
Those are my top 10 CBs (not in any order) I think those are all 1st to 3rd round CBs
ILB:
Rashaan Evans (as a Barron replacement)
OLB/edge:
Arden Key (I have no idea what his off the field stuff is)
Dorance Armstrong (last year was unblockable, this year on a miserable team he was schemed against)
Sam Hubbard (if you think he is a 3-4 edge, I do not)
Harold Landry (miscast as a 250 lb. 4-3 end, will impress in the offseason as a 3-4 stand up edge)
OT:
Mike McGlinchy
Connor Williams
OC/OG:
Billy Price
S:
Justin Reid
OLB/ILB/Edge:
Tremaine Edmunds (good gravy I love this kid. 6'-5" 235 lbs and young.)
DT/NT:
Da'Ron Payne
Vita Vea
(you never know, they might slip)
Taven Bryan (if they move Brockers back inside.)
I cannot see the Rams draft a RB or QB in round 1. And unless Watkins and Tavon Austin are gone, not a WR. I really don't like any of the TEs at 23. If you want to watch a TE I recommend Dallas Goedert and Mark Andrews.
