I think McVay's biggest asset is that he only cares about "THE TEAM" being successful and winning.

He does not care if he gets the credit for it or not. That's a very unique quality in a league that is full of ego's.

I remember an article from this past season where McVay basically said, "If I expect these things out of my players, then they need to be able to expect it out of me."

He lives and breathes "We Not Me" concept, proof is he let Wade take the defense form Day #1....43 nailed it, McVay is a "prodigy".
