If you don't have the combination of Brady and Billichick, then, you don;t have the great team we're talking about.
Subtract them and it's basically an average team. In spite of not having a lot of heavy cap contracts. Or maybe because of that.
One thing about the Brady/Bellichick model. The only way you win with that model is if you have both Brady and Bellichick.
BTW the presumed cap savings the Patz get from Brady's contract is around 2-3 M a year. Right now his cap hit is 22 M which is more or less in keeping with all other good veteran qb contracts.
