Bye weeks help

January 08, 2018 09:19AM
According to Bleacher report, the 2 conference bye week beneficiaries have a 74% chance of winning, whereas the wild card hosts have a 65% winning percentage. 74% is even higher than regular season bye week winning percentages. So to say that taking a resting bye week is detrimental, well, that just doesn't hold up, at least for the two best teams in each conference.
