But Watkins was far behind Gurley’s 19 TD’s.
And 3 ahead of both Woods and Kupp.
Plus, it’s a bit misleading to say he missed the offseason. He had the entire 4 preseason games.
And it’s not as if he was a green rookie. This was his 4th NFL season. That’s a seasoned vet, to me.
He said he would have the playbook down in a couple of weeks, himself.
I’m willing to cut him a little slack in order to get settled during the first few weeks, maybe 4 games even. But 17 weeks later? Not so much.
There have even been published hints about his reading skills. I dunno. I hate to go there, but maybe he’s not exactly the best “learner” on our roster?
Do you recall where you saw those “hints”? Frankly i think learning problems are entirely relevant. We don’t want another Greg Robinson who always disappoints.
