McVay didn't want his "starters" losing to the hapless Niners the week before this game and riding a two game losing streak heading in to first round of POs. Take the loss to the Niners, tell everyone it was to rest starters as an excuse, and hopefully ride that "logic" into a win vs. the Falcons.
