We didn't do this, we didn't put our players in good enough position and that starts with me.
The answer is as simple as this.
YOU didn't have your team ready to play in this game.
Sitting healthy players after a bad performance vs Tenny certainly didn't help.
It took the offense too long to find a rhythm.
They were not sharp due to inactivity.
Goff was uncertain, timid and small in the moment
Gurley didn't appear to be very focus, being at CATCH at 2 in the morning didn't help I'm sure
Havenstein was a train wreck
Atlanta is NOT a great football team.
I give them credit for 3 things;
1. Composure
2. Great tackling
3. Taking advantage of the Rams being shorthanded in their defensive line rotation in the 3rd qtr and being physical.
Something Sean McVay doesn't seem capable of doing, going right at and hammering a weakness.
The moment wasn't too BIG for the players!! Really?
Atlanta was a VERY beatable team!
Before the game you had the Rams winning going away, so you must have believed in him before the game and you must have thought that resting players wasn't a particularly bad thing.
You emphasize 'YOU' when saying McVay didn't have the players ready to play right after you say McVay said it all starts with me.
He has accepted totally responsibility. What more can he do? He didn't blame the refs, the players or the horrible joke of a field, he took it fairly and squarely on his shoulders.
Every HC sounds like a broken record, there are only so many things to say.
Fisher sounded like a broken record, Spags was frequently mocked on this board for sounding like a broken record and prior to winning the Superbowl Vermeil really, really, sounded like a broken record. Heck even Belichick with what little he says sounds like a broken record.
Atlanta may or may not be a great team, but they played great last night and there's one thing you didn't mention that has been a bugbear of theirs is, and that's that they took care of the football with zero turnovers.
It's easy to say in hindsight this should have been done or that should have been done, but when you post a gif of your bank saying an easy Rams win, then you have only come to those conclusions in light of the loss.
Even I can do that.
There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.
