Re: TheThomas catch/no catch?

January 01, 2018 11:00AM
Blandino was clear that both feet down is meaningless, rather that he must make a football move. He was not going to the ground so that was not an issue, what was the issue is 2 feet down AND make a football move, which I do not think happened. Blandino was embarrassed by the call when it stood.

If that game had bigger implications and was seen by more people o guarantee there would be a stink league wide after all the other NO catches in recent times.

To me that was clearly NOT a catch.

I haven't seen it mentioned...does anybody think that was a catch?

I laughed before the review and when Blandino said incomplete I was certain...then the ref said completion!!

This league has a serious catch-rule problem. I was 100% convinced that was NOT a catch...and then it was!?!?

I agree with you RFIP. IMO, he didn't seem to "survive" the ground contact. There is no consistency with this rule. Would love to hear Riveron's explanation on this one.

I think it was ruled a catch because he had control and both feet in bound before he went out of bounds, only after that he lost control due to the hit.
But surely debatable.

Go rams!

R.I.P. Nelson aka TonyHunter87 1971 - 2017 far too soon..

Your last words to me: "Your a great guy RFIP. I was very sad when you left the board, and your son, but was glad to see you back. Take care my friend, may God be by your side." 09/09/2017 12:58AM

No Nelson, you were a far better man than I, and I am sure an awesome husband and father as well. I will miss you my friend. -RFIP

Wanted to give the kicker a field goal attempt

  Maybe, but....

RAMbler275January 02, 2018 09:19AM

That was the argument. No catch or run/fumble out of bounds

I thought it was a catch but... (clear and obvious)

PeoriaRa204January 01, 2018 10:59AM

  Who knows?

9er8er200January 01, 2018 10:45AM

I was thinking the same thing.

RAMbler151January 02, 2018 09:24AM

Clearly caught ball and took 2 steps

David Deacon175January 02, 2018 08:24AM

Yes, the league DOES have a big problem.
