but the logic is simple. I will reduce it.
Resting the starters have no impact in weeks #1 and #2, positive or negative. I could make the case for it that it could hurt the chances as Goff and the WRs could have a rust element.
Week #3 if the Rams play the Saints, which I give a 25% chance of the Saints making it to that game, the Rams chances are reduced as the Saints are 7-1 at home and even though the Rams are 7-1 on the road, the debacle in that last 5 minutes against the Vikings is frightening. In fact, the Rams were confused and had communication problems at the line of scrimmage the entire game in the loud stadium, but it was completely evident as we were exposed to one of the worst hurry up offenses I have ever seen using the entire play clock because of confusion of changing plays in the last few minutes of the game.
I was kind of 50/50 on this, but after some time to think about it, I think in the Rams current situation with this team and the way they play, it isn't a good idea to let that 3rd seed slip through their hands, especially with the Vikings and Eagles both missing their QBs and the Saints having a Hall of Famer at QB.
