I knew he had the bye wrapped up but what i was really trying to make clear is his motivation is to not play Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh after narrowly beating them already a few weeks ago
McVay clearly doesn't view the 3rd and 4th seeding the same way and IMO it is very different
I mean c’mon Niner what if the Rams had beaten the Eagles and the Rams were still in play to hold the 2 seed and possibly get the #1 with a Vikings loss. Then yes he would play the starters
The Rams arent playing for those stakes.
In the preseason this year this board was going crazy when McVay pulled his starters against the Chargers... including me. The usual suspects went after Goff said that McVay didn’t believe in him. That Goff was rattled and that it was indicative of how little McVay thought of him blah blah blah
This issue is similar to that reaction IMO
The Rams dline needs the rest, their oline needs the break ...Gurley needs the break. The value of wining the game just means very little at this point and McVay is right to do wat he is doing even though like you I don’t particularly like it. I just think its the right thing to do
