I have had the game pass for years. I am a football fan. I know great when I see it and I do believe he could be very good if he has it upstairs more so than you put it in arm talent. I am not as impressed with his "cannon" as I am his accuracy. His INTs in my opinion appear to be a product of his accuracy as he some times it too accurate. This means he places some balls to the WR allowing Defenders to have an equal opportunity. That tendency alone is enough to make him consistently beatable
Its ironic that you would try to dis me for making an observation instead of posting screen shots weekly.
I have seen enough of all of it to conclude as I point out each week that cherry picking a play here and there is no different then me stating my general impression based off of years of watching football. I believed that before he was drafted or we even traded for him.
Why would it change your mind? How does it color my post as dissing Garappolo or hinder his success? I was only making ans observation and asking opinions not looking to be challenged as an ignorant observer.
I think we will find that Goff has a higher trajectory. If I am wrong I will have no problem saying so but for now I think Rams are in better shape for their future.
If Garappolo is the next Drew Brees I think 9er fans will be thrilled and I will be surprised. I do not fear him yet as a guy that will beat us or challenge us for years to come.
I know we have not always agreed on stuff and you seem to take a negative approach to my post no matter what I post while I just enjoy reading pov asking questions and expressing myself.
Now to the question regarding stats. I agree stats do not tell the whole picture but I see guys point to QBR as if that ESPN proprietary branding had any stock with reality for judging a QB. Despite the relevance. The problem is that the QBR rating that will make an inferior QB seem great more than the QB rating.
I have seen several point to stats and I am sure you have when it suits you.
Several point to a single play in a game to prove a point its all the same. It does not make you more or less of a fan
After all is said and done you come to a conclusion and guess what it is your impression your take away and it does not invalidate mine.
Keep doing your thing as I enjoy it but then again I enjoy this entire board its posters and the Game which is my forever favorite sport.
