It's a simple fact that you cannot derive meaningful estimates on a QB based on his first season of play. Even using the second season is iffy at best in light of historical samples.
Now if you want to attach Air Raid offense QB success rates to the equation, you can rest assured none of them had to that point succeeded and feel good about the fact you dumped on the kid. But that still doesn't mean that logic made too much sense, if anything given the history of Air Raid QBs you can see they have a tougher acclimation to the league at this level.
So using the system that a qb comes from as a part of the evaluation is "muddying the waters"?
That is part of the "history" you suggest should be referenced.
But whatever.
The ACTIVE qbs right now who came from Air Raid systems are Goff, Keenum, and Foles.
So far Goff and Keenum got past initial struggles.
So far this year Foles has LOOKED like he has, but I have my doubts he really has.
Those are the only Air Raid qbs who have ever done enough in the pros to be considered NFL qbs at one level or another.
