There's a lot to be said for momentum. I get the argument that maybe a 4 seed is 'better' because you likely get PHIL in the divisional round vs MIN. But nothing is guaranteed and PHIL will be a tough, tough opponent regardless. I also think the psychological edge of going into the playoffs on all cylinders matters. Plus let's be honest, they will also be helped PR and fan base wise by going in with a W vs. SF. And I want to squash this "49ers are reborn" business.
If there are borderline guys with injuries I would lean much more toward sitting them. Barron, for example. But they were given two days off and I think should go
hard for 12-4 and the 3rd seed.
