I agree they don't need to pass in some of those third and short situations . They need to have a quality power running game when they need to draw on it.
That is an area they can still improve in .
Maybe Carriers role can expand as a blocker to get more numbers going downhill and better ensure them being successful when they do sell out with a run .
Maybe even the back up OT Williams could make some appearances before the redzone to create a bunch of behemoths busting defenders in the trenches.
So when the same situation comes up in the playoff we will be confident and efficient at converting it .
Whenever we go play action and pass it there has to be a quick second option for Goff to throw to if the primary is covered .

Nothing would be worse than us mirroring Seattle or Pittsburgh mistakes by forcing a pass into coverage in a big game .

Can't have that .
