that I'm trying to make an 'all encompassing' statement about QB's or any other player/position. The two near interceptions by Goff were blatantly obvious... but because that was not the focus of my reply my not mentioning them does NOT say I didn't see them or am failing to take them into account. I don't see how ANYTHING can be discussed if we set that as the rule.
"Warner was very good" - "Oh, so you think Montana sucked then".
"Rams got some bad call by the officials in that game".... "OH, so you think the Eagles did NOT".
It's an impossible standard to maintain. Every post reply will by necessity have to be followed by a couple thousand disclaimers if we follow that rule.
So as to your reply... YES, Goff got VERY lucky, a few times. And Wentz I think did too... ALTHOUGH, his are more difficult, if not impossible, to declare 'luck'.. those were incredibly accurate throws... so my point is: A bit too many, I think, because NO QB is that good.... well, nearly all QB's anyway. - JamesJM
