but I think that's more a reflection of coaching, on Goff's part anyway, than an instinct.
What I mean is: I think Goff HAS the ability to hit the tight windows... but I also think that's something for a bit further down the road of progress for him. Wentz, on the other hand, made some throws in that game that were incredible... and I think perhaps a bit 'too' incredible. He also made some very errant throws... so does one evaluate that? Well, no doubting his arm.. I would say the same for Goff... but, and as it should be, some 'luck' I believe involved yesterday.
The negatives in that game were there for Goff, too. You mention "luck" but the luck was for Goff...he dumped ball off with pressure on him that was close to lateral, he panicked and threw to his checkdown, but from looking at it, the only reason it wasn't a lateral is that I think it hit Hav in the arm. (Which is a penalty and wasn't called). And even if it was neither a lateral nor hit a lineman, it was luck.
Goff also threw 2 passes that were lucky to not be picked. Wentz threw a strike and it popped up and was picked.
So, if you think Wentz had some luck, fine, but Goff had some luck, too.
