Don't want to beat a dead horse (but I guess I am!), the bottom line is that Snead acquired personnel well enough; but Fisher and his staff didn't develop those players or coach them very well.
And that is the other element of why McVay makes this team good overnight. McVay and his staff know how to develop and coach well. So they took talented guys that were already here and added some missing pieces and player leadership, coached them up, and voila! 9-3 and on the verge of winning the division.
That's your perception on Fisher. To me it comes from discounting OL and qb injuries and the effects of a move. I say it's perfectly reasonable to state they would have done better if not for those things. Why? Because all coaches do worse with those things and better if they don't have them. So your personal opinion on Fisher, I just do not agree with. I think you have to ignore too many glaring facts to see it the way you see it. Which is of course how
I see it.
None of which takes anything away from McVay, who clearly is a find.
BUT yes we do pretty much agree on Snead.
