Cowherd has a good point despite being not completely accurate.
I agree with you that Goff sometimes misses open receivers so Cowherd wasn't right on that.
But he IS more accurate than Wentz. Goff generally doesn't miss as bad as Wentz did last night.
He has better numbers than Wentz in many categories but for some reason people perceive Wentz very high - MVP consideration - and Goff considerably lower. I'm pretty sure that's based on last year not present production.
Also, the Rams supporting cast is pretty good as Cowherd mentioned. Very good RB, good WR room, dominant special teams, a D that's among the best in scoring D and top 5 in that category since week 4 (14.63 points per game for the last 8 weeks)...etc.
We'll know more after this game...
AND is McVay the second best coach in the league at this point? Cowherd said that and I noticed you didn't cover it.
You guys like ratings Wentz has a 102 and Goff has a 98 rating. Wentz has 9 more TD passes than Goff is the #1 qb in the redzone and on 3rd down.
He has made WAY more athletic plays than Goff, WAY MORE!
He has also led his team to a 10-2 record with 10 straight wins.
So the feelings around the league are from people who have watched more than
one game THIS season. Has nothing to do with last season.
Best,
