Well, the clause was speculation on my part based on some educated guessing and pattern recognition with respect to NFL contracts over the years.
It may not be that, but I really do think that whatever it is was a response to always losing since AD was here and he didn't have any idea what winning would look like.
The opt-out clause fits. Could be something else, but it's the most logical option (and I would probably have wanted that under Fisher, too, because... F losing...)
The HOPE is that after playing under Wade and McVay for a year that he doesn't desire it anymore, but I have a feeling that "his people" will push HARD for it, even if it means he leaves the Rams.
That would be bad for everyone, but we'll see.
