Well, Watkins might want to hit FA and test the market. Nothing anyone can do about that.
And as I've written before, I surmise that AD hasn't signed and held out because he wants a 3 year opt-out clause, which no way the Rams go for.
If that's the case for AD, then he's already gone if he doesn't change his mind. The only question at this point is do we keep him for 3 years on the 5th year option and 2 Franchise Tags knowing he'll never be around for any off-season ANYTHING and that he'll miss the first game every year like he did this year? Or does some team make an offer we can't refuse?
I dunno.
I keep holding out hope that the opt-out was a defense against being stuck on a Fisher-led losing team forever. He's too much of a competitor for that. Heck, remember during Hard Knocks how he huffed away from playing ping-pong because the other guys were messing around and he was super serious about winning... at ping-pong... (I understand because ping-pong is Srs Bzns!!!)
I dunno. I'm focusing on the season, but this off-season will be pretty wild
I think some of us will be thrilled and some of us will be concerned/disappointed.
