We just need to look at the Cowboys and Giants of this year....and the Panthers of last year to know that so much unexpected crap can happen to a team that can crush lofty expectations. So, I am really just trying to figure out of this right-here-and-now Ram team has what it takes to compete for a deep run in the playoffs (or can they get there in the next six weeks).
I am someone who predicted this team to go 7-9.....so I understand we are ALREADY playing with house money. But given where we are now....is this team ready to prime itself for the playoffs? These next three weeks will determine that. There have been teams that just lock it in going into the last four or five weeks of the season and just steamroll going into the playoffs. Usually it's teams that have a strong running game and defense....which the Rams have.
The Seahawks have lost two of their last three (which very easily could have been three of their last four). They play the Jags and Eagles before facing the Rams. They could be a team getting pushed on the ropes. If the Rams can go 2-1 in their next three games.....and the Seahawks go 1-2..... the Rams can deliver the knock out blow for the division in their head to head game. If they do that.....and are 10-4 with two games to play......I still see huge potential for a steamroll.
