Scoring dropped passes

November 15, 2017 08:47AM
remember they are very generous. So, what looks like a drop sometimes the receiver is given benefit of the doubt.

And it's supposed to be done universally, all teams the same way.

So, if the official number is 6, then I can but that maybe there are a few more that could be called drops/

Back in the day, when Rams were among league leaders, I know the receivers coach keep track of 'catchable balls dropped" which was more of a NFL standard and one year there were 36 drops and the Rams number was around 50.

But, hopefully, the numbers kept by Stats, LLC are consistent from 1993-2017 so you can compare year to year.

This year it's 2.1% so far . . .and often it was around triple that acording to apples-to-apples comparison of Stats, LLC
