It is great to hear about spreading the ball around and the concept sure seems to work on the football field. But the guys catching the ball know that their numbers are going to determine the amount of that all important 2nd contract.

So do the Rams have a problem with too many weapons?
I can say this: other than perhaps for drafting a TE, I sure can't imagine the Rams drafting ANY offensive skill player in 2018.

If the concept of spreading the ball around works on the football field that's all you need. That's reason enough to do it.

And if guys are going to be worried about their numbers then maybe they're not team players and don't fit the culture.

I can't say I agree with your reasons but I do largely agree with your conclusion. I don't think they will draft any offensive skill players in 2018 either or if they do it will be very late round picks or UDFAs.

To me, it's having different types of weapons to find that one mismatch to exploit
