Maybe the endless annual TV revenue bonanza will decline.

If that happens, NFL revenues will go down substantially.

And if THAT happens then we may actually see a reversal of the annual team cap increase. We may even see annual cap limit decreases.

And if THAT happens we may ultimately see smaller player contracts (Gasp!).

Simple economics.

Check out the news about NFL ratings for the last few years. Not good.

I think that wise FO execs would be wise to ponder these things as the players and their agents are asking for the moon and the stars at contract time.
