RAMSINCE ARNETT
When a lot of the "experts" were saying neither one of these guys Goff & Wentz
was worth a #1 or #2 pick in the first round. Maybe late first or early second. haha
This year it was Watson. Did any of these talking heads ever work for the Browns
Look, those who follow the draft close and study these things are giving an opinion. And when those opinions are wrong it's easy to jump on them and do a "Ha Ha". A year ago Goff looked bad, and there were probably going "Ha Ha" then.
Goff has turned it around due to his own work, his own study, also a system brought in by McVay that seems to ideally suit Goff. Goff also has a lot better protection this year and a set of 3 new receivers (4 if you count Everett) who are competent.
I was one who didn't think Goff or Wentz was worth the amount of picks...and once we got the #1 pick I preferred Wentz over Goff.
But none of that matters, it was just my opinion. I am glad Goff is doing well, he's done a 180, and he has a support cast that is excellent in coach, line and receivers and he's got good talent that he's improving on every week.
But I don't think I was all the "wrong" because, if we are going to go by a "told ya so" and knowing the outcome...we could have had Dak maybe on 3rd round and kept the picks. And it's possible the Wentz (the first half MVP) will be the better QB over time
So, there are more than one ways to skin a cat...and the way the Rams went is working great, but Philly is not complaining nor are the Cowboys
