I'm glad to see Sammy mature. It was my biggest worry when so many wanted to draft him, that we wouldn't be big enough for him and he'd grow frustrated with this organization quick and we'd ruin him. I still believe that to be true and that is exactly what we we would have done.
As much as I want Sammy to be that guy now that he's in a place he can thrive, I very much agree with TBG. It's early for him. As much as we read the "I got the playbook down" stuff, you know it's not at all second nature yet and he has a long way to go to be that man he wants to be in this offense. It's going to come. In time.
Also agree with LA Lenny that Seattle is going to throw the book at us. Goff is going to make a lot of hurried, inaccurate throws. Sammy is going to have to work Sherman and this would be the perfect setting for him to set the tone. It is my dearest wish to watch Sherm have an absolute meltdown because Sammy beats him like a drum.
This O is about spreading the ball around. Misdirection. You don't know what you're going to get. Watkins is a smart kid, and knows all of this. I think he's also smart enough to know that it's early, and big players play big in big games. He's gonna get his shot here with the Rams.
