Tavon being a decoy versus another guy who is fast, the defense will still react. It could be argued that Tavon is extra fast and has done well on reverse action., but he really hasn't.
So, while he has a niche role in the offense so far, it's expensive to have a guy make that much in a role others could fill fr much less
Yes he is overpaid...not much we can do about that now but maybe hope for a restructure, but there are not a lot of WRs that can do what he does in the open field.
He can make defenders look silly in open spaces.....he will have a few big plays very soon.
I really think people are tripping too much on how much he's being paid, and not enough on how using him well could take this offense to another level.
