Well, you can't write it off, either. It really seemed to have an effect on the D when they had to come back out and they never really seemed to shake it off afterward.
Like our QB, confidence with this young team means a lot. We have studs on D, they're just out of position, by far, from what Williams taught. And I think they really liked that scheme. Bells may be ringing on offense, but these guys are in a state of flux. Even Barwin looks off. Personally I think it's a gell thing and the D has a long way to go. Wade is the guy but you can't just plug names into slots, they have to fit.
I trust Wade and I trust the talent on D. I think they'll evolve, sooner than later, into a solid D that gets more than their share of turnovers.
But right now they aren't that. And if they're so *fragile* that a dumb penalty on the opponent's side of the field is enough to shake them so badly the rest of the game... yikes! I don't think they're so mentally fragile. They're just not very good yet.
