but I think DCs will still purposely accept a few of those penalties every game...why?
..Cuz it works on the psyche of the QB...causing him to flinch or tighten up or get the yips in the pocket.
Pain does that to a person!! It's worth the trade-off and few 1st downs early on in games. imo
I think GW & Fisher even alluded to that at some point...not minding those penalties at certain times obviously!

THAT is why I value the fact that Goff has no amygdala...no fear center in his brain...LOL
it limits the yips and gives him a fearlessness or extends it...which allows for him to stand & deliver.

but yer point is well taken, zn....the rules ARE changing and so it IS a penalty no matter what we think. Agreed.
