His talent, youth, apparent attitude, and performance-when-healthy all point to signing him.
The obvious questions are: 1) is there reasons to believe his previous injuries and/or style of play make him especially injury-prone going forward. Or has he been unlucky? 2) How much money does it take to sign him now?
Is Sammy willing to offer a bit of a discount for the security of a contract now? Or does he want 100% of what he thinks he'd get after a successful, healthy season on the free market?
