Im not going to pretend like I wasn't disappointed with the defense today, but 39 points isn't telling the whole story. Firstly, 14 of those points are off a muffed punt and a fumbled kickoff, second the defense essentially scored that first touchdown. So if you look at it that way the defense only allowed a net of 39-21=18 points. Obviously it isn't that cut and dry and you would hope to see them hold the 9ers to field goal off turnovers, but again 39 points isn't really the entire truth of it.

Edit: We also don't really know how good this 9er offense is, it's quite possible they played two of the best defenses in the NFL in their first two weeks.
