Maybe but this is a totally new chapter, and its a young team, just starting to play together. So, it might take them a while to gel.
Its conceivable they could look significantly better in the second half of the season.
So, I'm not sure any single game is gonna tell us much, especially early in the season.
Lets hope this one goes better than the 28-0 fiasco in last years first 49er game.

I think this game is about culture change. And its not like the Rams are playing a team with more talent, its the opposite.
This is a game where if the Rams lose again the Niners and their fans are gonna pull out the S.O.S.A.R. stuff all over again. And that will be a huge psychological blow that I doubt the team recovers from this year.
So I respectfully disagree. There are always teams that come back from 1-2, if in fact it goes that way.
And none of these players even know what S.O.S.A.R means. They weren;'t there. It doesn;t mean anything to them. That's just us.
Meanwhile I like the Rams chances in this game. I have confidence in how this team is developing.
I see this game as a barometer of where we are. Sure, nothing is sacrosanct on a single win or loss. But history shows more often than not a young team like the Rams will be in for another losing season if they lose this game.
The way I see it, this is a nice setup for Goff. He's should be able to go into his hometown and win this game against an inferior opponent. He will have to make plays to win. I don't expect him to melt down in this game, but if he does, it will be a huge indicator that he ain't the answer. Its that kind of game, IMO
