Did anyone expect Goff to miraculously go from arguably the worst QB in the NFL last year to suddenly putting the team on his shoulders in his 2nd game this year in the 2 minute drill to win the game? I thinks its fair to expect him to show flashes this year and not totally crumble like he did last year. He wasn't very good today, but he didn't lose the game, he just wasn't good enough to win it.
If we want to point the finger on why we lost the game we can name at least a half a dozen guys before we got to Goff.
All I was hoping for from Goff in the first half of the year is to show he belongs. So far so good, IMO.
The Rams put up 20 points at home. I thought our D would be good enough to win with that. To me that was the bigger disappointment.
But all in all, the Rams are competitive even when they don't play well, so that about what I was hoping for early on this year. I'm hoping for continuous growth from Goff as the season progresses. We'll see.
