I wont lose faith in Gurley until they after they fix the steaming pile that is the offensive line, and he's no longer dealing with getting 4 or 5 plays of being hit 5+ yards behind the LOS EVERY game...... NONE of that's NOT on him, or his "vision"....the right side of our line is embarrassing. They fix that to even league average and he still has these problems...THEN and only then will I worry about him.
Today was fun and great and all....but the Colts would have trouble beating a top 10 college team right now, their defense is especially putrid, and with no Luck, it exposes them further by being on the field THAT much longer.
Make no mistake, there is not a chance in hell Fishhead and co. would have had the same results today, and MCVay and co has me very excited for the first time in YEARS.
Goff threw off his back foot multiple times for no reason, Kupp dropped a possible big 1st down catch on a 3rd down play...there were still a couple of unforced Oline penalties....but unlike in the past, they fixed things on the fly, made adjustments...and didn't let the few hiccups "cascade" affect them on subsequent plays and drives.
I am very very pleased over all. their demeanor and mindset look to have made a complete 180 under this regime.
Get Donald up to speed...fix the right side of the Oline, and we may be cooking with peanut oil now...especially in this division with Johnson looking like he may miss 1/2 the year....and the Hags Oline so bad it makes ours blush.
LETS GO!!
