Apparently, one of the big sins here is to question the loyalty of other fans.
And yet, when fans make broad pronouncements of doom (i.e. apparently Gurley AND Goff will both be benched by midseason) - with nothing, mind you, to back up their statement other than "gut feelings" and "hunches," that's all fine and dandy.
The truth is, loyalty is not a constant among fans. Some fans are more interested in to proving that they know the most, and therefore can foresee the most, even if it means being a naysayer (which, of course is easy to be in sports, as most teams "fail" in the end).
Let's make this easy... don't bother setting me straight if I show optimism. And, if the Rams fail (as they likely will), save me your "I told you so" summations.
I don't watch sports because I expect my team to win it all every year.
I watch sports because there's always a possibility (or have you forgotten 1999), that my team might just shock the world this year.
If they do, I'll be along for the ride.
If they don't, oh well.
