We've been through a number of these. Honestly, the TV weather tends to highlight the WORST possible outcome, and it rarely is. I do absolutely agree with all the Governor has done to declare a state of emergency and I'm gratified to see how early people started preparing. I am glad to see South Florida evacuate as they are going to get blasted pretty hard and it could get quite dangerous there. We live not far from the Kennedy Space Center (we watch rocket launches from our dock), about halfway up the Florida coast, so the Hurricane will somewhat diminish by the time it reaches us.
Mrs. Rockram and I plan on riding this one out. The hassle of the traffic and living in a hotel just isn't worth it.
