I wonder why Brandon Allen wasn't even mentioned as one of the top QBs in college football in 2016? He had an impressive game against Dak Prescott's Mississippi State throwing for over 400 yards and 7 TDs and almost pulled out the win. I would say after watching those highlights that Jared Goff job may need to watch his back. I don't think I've seen any college game that Jared Goff was involved where he was as impressive as Brandon Allen.
The knock on Brandon Allen is his height and small hands. But the guy showed he can compete with anybody in that game. See youtube link below.
Allen is a back up QB and that is all he is. Nobody is going to bench a number one for a guy is not. Yah he was so impressive that quarterback starved Jags cut him loose in favor or Bortles and the other guy. He's a project and that's it.
