Rams are doing it the right way. Ad needs to decide how far is he going to take this. AD also needs to know, Rams are in take it or leave it mode. If he won't sign, then go ahead and sit for 2 years.......31 other teams won't touch you with a 10 foot pole if you turn down a boatload of money and then holdout.
I hope they're not offering him that little. That would be a massive insult. It's probably more like 20+ something a year for 5-6 years. 70 M might not even cover the guaranteed part of it.
In terms of wanting his money? Well let's face it. Neither of us could get that kind of money in football, if they even let us on the field. Same with movies. We can't command big star contracts doing movies either.
AND at the same time we don't settle for less than what we're worth in our own lines of work either. Not without a very, very good reason.
