Yeah...this was a pretty poor play by Goff. He missed the fact that Woods was uncovered pre-snap. On top of that, he didn't see him post-snap either (despite looking to that side of the field).

My guess is that his primary read was Sammy crossing underneath. And he was locked onto that read the second he broke the huddle.

I'm sure they (Goff, McVay, and Woods) will discuss this at length. After watchimg 24 hours w/ McVay, I suspect that Woods has already raised the issue.
