... if, at season's end, there's a failure to recognize certain pre-snap reads or make certain throws ... that's a lot different than pulling one, single play from one game and saying, 'The sky is falling.'
I'll never forget the audio from Super Bowl 14 of one of the Rams' offensive coaches radioing down to Ray Malavasi after Vince Ferragamo threw the INT in the fourth quarter that all but iced the game for the Steelers. "He missed him, Ray. He had Waddy wide open!" Or ... Jimmy Orr waving his hands toward Earl Morrall, the fricking league MVP that year, on a flea-flicker that backfired on the Colts in Super Bowl III versus the Jets.
My point?
It happens!
It ... happens.
If it becomes something that happens again and again ... then you've got a problem.
But if it's one-off ... then it ... simply ... happens.
