The fumbles are an NFL problem.
The no contact and practices in shorts will cause you to have that in game #1........More padded practices as we get deeper in to camp will take care of that. I bet McVay will have more drills where coaches and players swipe at balls after the catch and hand offs. That's correctable. Plus, in game #1 you just need to get used to being "HIT" again.
Blocking, tackling, fumbles are all correctable and in game #1 you kind of expect it to be a little sloppy. The more important issue as a coach IMHO would be, are my players going to the right players to block and execute their assignments. Basically, do my players "know what they should be doing" or do I need to go back to the chalkboard and "Re-teach".
All in all.........A "W" is a "W".........And we beat the Cowboys!!!!!! On to pre season game #2.
