Here's my negative about Spruce. Every pass that I recall him catching, last year and now this year, has been a possession type of route where YAC are not really expected. Why? Because he's had a LOT of targets when on the field.. FAR more than any other WR. He's caught them ALL.
I suspect something is showing up in practice, away from our prying eyes. He can't run the other routes, IOW. Of course I don't KNOW that... I want to see him run one. But so many targets and always the same type of possession routes.... it's odd. - JamesJM
