It comes down to actually seeing him play. Last year he entered the game against Dalllas' 3rd team defense and had several nice grabs. From that people fell in love. I just need to see a lot more from Spruce on the field
There are lots of players like Spruce but they aren't usually starting WRs... so from a football perspective no i dont get why he is so beloved.

He's doing exactly what he's being called on to do...in the passing game, routes he's running, PLUS he's catching the ball. All of us should see that as an aberration from recent years so YEAH.. it should stand out.
I'm not too keen on the criticism that people are looking for 'flash' but in this case.. I think that's the only explanation. Kind of, (little exaggeration), like having a RB average 5yds per carry but criticizing him for not catching a hail mary, (even though he didn't run a Hail Mary passing route in the entire game). - JamesJM
