Its been so long since the Rams were any good that I can't believe it can actually happen.
And I know how much of the Rams being good hinges on Goff.
I am so apprehensive about how he will perform even in a limited roll tonight.
If he plays well, spirits will be sky high, and its been so long for me to be there.
All I see in my mind right now are bad reads, holding the ball too long, botched snaps from center, strip sacks, pick sixes, and poorly thrown balls.
Am I the only one who fears these things?
Let's see, 22 year old QB, second offensive system in as many years to learn, several guys sitting out, first preseason game of the year against a good opponent, and a brand new coaching staff.
No, I am not worried about Goff or anyone else for that matter. I am simply dreading the over reaction of fans to the first preseason game of the year. Either way
I have faith in this staff to teach and coach Goff properly. But it will not be accomplished overnight. It takes time to build a player. Especially after the nightmare of last season. I expect improvement this season and next year to see the jump to solid/good starting QB.
Just follow Goffs trajectory from college. 1st year horrendous, 2nd year better, 3rd year first bowl game in many years. I expect the same trajectory in the NFL.
