Not sure worried is the feeling. Anxious to avoid failure is more what I'm thinking. I don't want a bad precedent set for the first string offense tonight.
I don't have huge expectations just yet. Remember, it is a 2nd year QB in a 2nd system with a revamped OL and nearly all new WR & TE.
I just don't want the ball turned over and I'd like to see Goff complete a couple passes where the plays look like they went as schemed.
I want him to look a little more natural under the center and for play-action passes to flow more smoothly.
I don't want plays to look broken or see him scrambling for his life or taking sacks.
If Goff's really only going to play 6-8 snaps, and you'd have to think at least 3 of them will be run plays. then it's going to be tough to gauge anything anyway.
But, if the things I'd like to see and not see actually go that way, it's going to feel like Goff is headed in the right direction.
